A lover of anything vintage, feminine, or retro, fashionista Imani Ellis is currently a Junior at Vanderbilt University majoring in Communication with a double minor in German and Film. This Atlanta native writes for the Fashion Section in both school papers and currently hosts the show' "It's Imani". Her favorite designers include Marc Jacobs, Helmut Lang, and Gianni Versace. President and Co-founder of the Vanderbilt Public Relations Society, Imani has gained extensive  experience in the world of entertainment and fashion, including extensive work with MTV Networks, B.E.T Networks, Nickelodeon and the County Music Awards.  A key coordinator of Scene&Heard, (http://besceneandheard.webs.com/) a fashion show held in the fall to benefit local philanthropy Soles4Souls, Imani helped to bring one of the most successful fashion shows to the Vanderbilt community. Featuring esteemed designers  Olia Zavozina and Alain Patterson. Imani, along with the Vanderbilt Public Relations Society, worked with over 45 models and raised over $1300 towards the charity. Imani currently interns with Hot Schatz Public Relations Firm and aspires to have a career in Fashion or Television.

The first night of runway shows for Nashville Fashion Week were not only fantastic, but set the standard for all fashion shows to follow during the week. Located in the artsy and charming Marathon Music Works, guests were invited to enjoy complimentary cocktails and a 2012 cherry red Lexus in the lobby. Designers Valentine Valentine, By Smith, and T.Rains were all paired with musical acts whose performances preceded the introduction of the individual lines.   Nashville Fashion Week 2012 was filled with incredible fashion as well as amazing musical performances. As New York, London, and Paris Fashion Weeks come to an end, the preparations for Nashville’s 2nd Nashville Fashion Week are in full swing. Nashville Fashion Week is organized by Creative Co-op Nashville, a volunteer collaboration of fashion, retail, and media professionals who have partnered to combine their resources and passion to create this amazing event. An Evening With the Stars, a charity event that benefitted philanthropy group Nashville CARES, was a night filled with giving, talent, and great fashion. Nate Washington, the wide receiver for the Tennessee Titans, served as a host as well as ESPN Sportscaster Mike Hill. The event was held at Jazz & Jokes in downtown Nashville and included a musical performance by Shannon Sanders, an art presentation by James Threalkill and Michael McBride, and a live auction. The vast array of arcade games, popcorn machines, and clown-like characters contributed to the overall creative circus theme. Fashion was also prevalent throughout the night.
