Express-the brand connotes class, style, one of fashion's biggest names. It's only right that they were in Nashville, one of fashion's burgeoning cities, for a free fashion show at Mai Nightclub using a Nashville band, The Features, and taking advantage of the talented models right here in Nashville, as well. One of the statement looks of the evening was color-blocking; by far, one the most popular trends of the season. With great lighting, amazing models, and of course the overall polished look that Express is known for providing, this was a top notch show- one for the books!

Select O'More College of Design fashion students had the opportunity to showcase their individual collections in the show, presented by Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. The junior and senior fashion design students spent months perfecting their pieces. The garments range in style, from couture and menswear to cocktail and children's wear. The process includes illustrating, pattern making, draping and constructing five to ten outfits for each collection.

Ever since it's initial show last year, the Steeplechase Lookbook Fashion Show is THE event to see the hottest looks for Steeplechase for women, men, and children. Eva Franco showed on Day 2 of Nashville Fashion Week 2012. Her playful, feminine looks were very well received by the Nashville audience. The Romanian born designer now lives in LA and brought that unique mix to Nashville and we couldn't be happier. Most definitely a favorite of the night (as noted in our interview with Nikki Taylor). Shea Steele showed her line, White Rabbit, at the inaugural Nashville Fashion Week back in 2011 on Day 4 at the Crystal Fountain Church. Although there was high anticipation for headliner Christian Siriano's line, White Rabbit was without a doubt a crowd pleaser. She wowed the audience by displaying color blocking in a unique and interesting way. We got a chance to speak with Shea after the show to find out what her inspiration behind the looks were. Last spring, Julianna Bass presented her Autumn/Winter 2011 collection at Nashville Fashion Week. She is the recipient of the inaugural Nashville Fashion Forward Fund award, made possible with the proceeds from Lexus Nashville Fashion Week 2011. Traver Rains, former co-creator of infamous fashion brand Heatherette, started his own line called T. Rains. The brand features a wide range of designs from silk-screened tank tops and t-shirts to custom couture dresses. On the second night of NFW 2011, T. Rains designs hit the catwalk and jaws hit the ground. Dillard's Grand Re-Opening Celebration Fall Spectacular 2011 included a top-notch fashion show and we've got it for you to witness. Superbowl Champion, Bill Utecht, was the emcee for the evening and told the attendees to imagine they were no longer in Nashville, but in Manhattan's fashion district....and once the show started, it became easy to understand why. For this fashion show we decided to do a full length video as the event had so much good footage. We got a chance to review a wonderful local fashion designer at their introductory fashion show near the end of October 2010. The clothes in the collection were beautiful and diverse fitting models of several ages and body types. Once a month, a huge amount of photographers, makeup artists, models, hair stylists and other talent get together under the direction of Ernie Passwaters for a pinup photoshoot at Fast Freddy's in West Nashville. It's fun and FREE for all participants! We have exclusive video coverage of the event. We get a chance to interview the inspirational Ernie Passwaters and some of the other talent involved. This past fall Alicia got a chance to interview Libby Callaway. Libby is a former fashion writer for the New York Post who covered New York Fashion Week for many years and she the owner of Diamond Star Halo Vintage Boutique. Her amazing store in East Nashville is filled to the brim with beautiful vintage pieces she selects on her various travels to everywhere from Paris, France to Seattle, Washington and everywhere in between. We compiled some of our favorite fun moments from 2010 from both videos we have produce and footage what we haven't yet produced. We love to have a good time and not take ourselves too seriously as you will see from some of these clips. In the early days of our videos we used to produce a blooper reel for every video. So, this is a gift to all of our long time viewers who loved our blooper reel and a little something for all of our new viewers to show off what goes on behind the scenes. Marchesa is coming to Nashville for the Nashville Symphony Spring Fashion Show in April 2011. So, we got a chance to talk to the VP of Sales for Marchesa at the trunk show hosted by Marissa Collections. We also got a chance to talk to some other amazing people involved in the upcoming Symphony Fashion Show. Erickson Beamon jewelry (worn by celebrities and the fashion elite) was also present and we got a chance to interview Monique Erickson. Alicia goes in to Muse Boutique to style Angee Billingsley, National Director of The Little Black Dress Club, for the formerly upcoming Holiday Fashion Party at Sambuca. Muse Boutique is sponsoring clothes and accessories for the event and will be selling accessories at the party. While we were there, we got some footage of their wonderful store and got a chance to talk to one of their stylists, Ila Dillender, about their inventory, the new store and other events they are sponsoring. Aria Cavaliere, our master of all things vintage, went with us on the East Nashville Vintage Boutique Crawl. We got a wonderful chance to talk to Ashley Sheehan, the owner of Made, on Porter Road in East Nashville. Her boutique caters mostly to locally made goods and some vintage goods. We found unique and locally made jewelry, clothing, art, and just about any thing you can imagine. A wonderful store that has a great future and we imagine it will soon outgrow the small space it inhabits in East Nashville.

The Eating Disorders Coalition of Tennessee hosts this amazing fashion show once a year. This is their 7th consecutive year with some amazing boutiques and local designers participating. It celebrates beauty from the inside and out. Beautiful local role models and great clothes from local vendors. Our video covers the fashion show and some hot style interviews. Fashion Week Nashville's first big event of the week. Held at the Red House in Franklin, TN. The VIP Soiree brought out some of the most trendy and social elite in Nashville and mixed them with great music, great creative talent, food and fashion. October 2nd we attended a multi vendor vintage sale that is held every few months at Fanny's House of Music in East Nashville. We saw some awesome vintage vendors and got them on video. A very short video showing some of Nashville's best vintage pickers. Featuring Closet Case Vintage, Sabrosa Vintage, Vested Bee Vintage and Pink Star. Local Honey was there too but unfortunately they were closing up when we got there.
We visited Studio 615 at the end of August for their shoe store grand opening 'Sole of 615'. We later caught up with Darnice Harris, the owner of Studio 615, for an interview to tell us more about her beautiful new shoe store and a little more about the Studio 615 boutique. A great boutique off of west end and an amazing space for very unique and affordable shoes in Nashville.

Charles Brown had several good segments of commentary on different pieces that we reviewed in the Golden Age of Couture exhibit at the Frist. We couldn't put them all in the original video because it would have been too long. So, this is the first in a series of 3-4 small videos called 'Charles Speaks Couture' where Charles will discuss a piece from the Golden Age of Couture exhibit that was at the Frist.
Our coverage of the Haute Swapping event at Velocity in the Gulch. At this event, you bring several fashionable items and trade them out with other participants. They had great food, a silent auction with some exclusive items, and a raffle. The real magic starts when you get a room full of clothes/accessories and a room full of women and say 'Go!'. The Single Woman (@thesinglewoman on Twitter) gives an inspirational message during the event as well. A well put together event coordinated by Raynetta Smitth of Haute Candy, Inc.

Nick Verreos hosts a very entertaining set of challenges at the Green Hills Macy's in Nashville. Audience members get selected to put together a series of outfits for different scenarios and compete to win prizes. Alicia gets a chance to talk to Nick on camera about his thoughts on Nashville fashion. A very entertaining video that will also enlighten you about all the fall trends this season. 
The Art Institute of Tennessee - Nashville puts on an awesome fashion show and they let us in to cover it. It benefited the Soles 4 Souls charity. It was an amazing show featuring local boutiques: Blush, Pangea, and Muse. We get backstage access with the models, brief reactions from the students and organizers and after show commentary with local designers.

She also tours his design studio in Nashville and asks him about his longevity in the industry and how he came about his unique style of design.
