Select O'More College of Design fashion students had the opportunity to showcase their individual collections in the show, presented by Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. The junior and senior fashion design students spent months perfecting their pieces. The garments range in style, from couture and menswear to cocktail and children's wear. The process includes illustrating, pattern making, draping and constructing five to ten outfits for each collection.
It's that time of year again! Time to pull out your prettiest dress and your biggest hat....that's right, Steeplechase is around the corner. Ever since it's initial show last year, the Steeplechase Lookbook Fashion Show is THE event to see the hottest looks for Steeplechase for women, men, and children. This year's show featured looks from many of Nashville's favorite retailers. It's also a fundraiser for the Vanderbilt Children's Hospital.

Eva Franco showed on Day 2 of Nashville Fashion Week 2012. Her playful, feminine looks were very well received by the Nashville audience. The Romanian born designer now lives in LA and brought that unique mix to Nashville and we couldn't be happier. Most definitely a favorite of the night (as noted in our interview with Nikki Taylor). Shea Steele showed her line, White Rabbit, at the inaugural Nashville Fashion Week back in 2011 on Day 4 at the Crystal Fountain Church. Although there was high anticipation for headliner Christian Siriano's line, White Rabbit was without a doubt a crowd pleaser. She wowed the audience by displaying color blocking in a unique and interesting way. We got a chance to speak with Shea after the show to find out what her inspiration behind the looks were. Last spring, Julianna Bass presented her Autumn/Winter 2011 collection at Nashville Fashion Week. She is the recipient of the inaugural Nashville Fashion Forward Fund award, made possible with the proceeds from Lexus Nashville Fashion Week 2011. Bass was born in Pulaski, Tenn. and attended Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro where she studied apparel design and costume design. She now lives in Brooklyn, NY. Traver Rains, former co-creator of infamous fashion brand Heatherette, started his own line called T. Rains. The brand features a wide range of designs from silk-screened tank tops and t-shirts to custom couture dresses. On the second night of NFW 2011, T. Rains designs hit the catwalk and jaws hit the ground. Once a month, a huge amount of photographers, makeup artists, models, hair stylists and other talent get together under the direction of Ernie Passwaters for a pinup photoshoot at Fast Freddy's in West Nashville. It's fun and FREE for all participants! We have exclusive video coverage of the event. We get a chance to interview the inspirational Ernie Passwaters and some of the other talent involved. Fashion Week Nashville's first big event of the week. Held at the Red House in Franklin, TN. The VIP Soiree brought out some of the most trendy and social elite in Nashville and mixed them with great music, great creative talent, food and fashion. October 2nd we attended a multi vendor vintage sale that is held every few months at Fanny's House of Music in East Nashville. We saw some awesome vintage vendors and got them on video. A very short video showing some of Nashville's best vintage pickers. Featuring Closet Case Vintage, Sabrosa Vintage, Vested Bee Vintage and Pink Star. Local Honey was there too but unfortunately they were closing up when we got there.

Our coverage of the Haute Swapping event at Velocity in the Gulch. At this event, you bring several fashionable items and trade them out with other participants. They had great food, a silent auction with some exclusive items, and a raffle. The real magic starts when you get a room full of clothes/accessories and a room full of women and say 'Go!'. Nick Verreos hosts a very entertaining set of challenges at the Green Hills Macy's in Nashville.
