Nashville Fashion Week VIP Soiree

At the corner of N. 3rd st in Franklin, Tn was the place to be last night  The Red House opened its doors to designers, stylists, and local fashion elite. Guests enjoyed wine and fine hors d' oeuvres from Constant Cravings on the front lawn around a glowing fire pit for a bit of festive Fall flare. A crimson oriental rug on aged wooden floors greeted those that enterted the Red House to be entertained by the Sister Girl group 'Like Candy Red'.

Like Candy Red has a bit of a funk and Motown base to their music stylings. Their serious harmony gets you snapping your fingers along with them and their strong "girl power" driven lyrics gives you a bit of an itch to seek revenge on the man who did you wrong! As far as their styling choices for the evening? No shame. Forever 21! And they looked fantastic in it! The group consists of Lyndee, Bree and Hailey Collier with musical talents of Tom Michael, Todd Shay, and Brett Vargason. Go check them out at http://www.myspace.com/colliersistersmusic

Selectively placed around each room of the venue were the preview pieces to the designs that will be featured later in the week's runway shows.

Presenting were:

God's Princess Girls and women's sportsts wear based around a Psalms 134:14 premise and the mission behind the clothes is to repair the damaged esteem of todays woman with God's love.

Jacquelyn Brooks  Evening wear. swooping necklines, soft, touchable fabric.

Sarah Mallory Women and Men's ready to wear.

Mission Savy Read to wear clothing that is Eco-Friendly 5% of profits from clothing purchase goes to animal protection.

And my personal favorite...

Le Fluer by Shawn Michelle stunning hair acessories that were finely beaded with intricate design and a nod to a throwback era of 1920's couture

And last but certainly not least the tiny powerhouse behind the whole event Polly Bibb Editor of Couture Fashion Magazine! Its obvious from the insane organization and attention to detail that went into this event that Ms. Bibb has put a lot of time and energy into this project and the Nashville Fashion community as a whole should take note of her efforts.
